PCI Express/PCI Connectors

PCI Express (or PCI-E) is a type of peripheral component interconnect (PCI) connector that is typically used to connect hardware components on a computer motherboard. It is an evolution of the original PCI standard and has increased speed and bandwidth capabilities up to 128GB/s and beyond. PCI-E connectors come in various shapes and sizes, depending on the use case. The most common type is the ‘Type A’ connector, which is used for graphics cards, audio cards, and other add-in boards. It is also used for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB ports. Other popular types include Type B, C, and D connectors, which are typically used to connect internal components, such as hard drives and optical drives.
