Cable Glands, Strain Reliefs & Cord Grips

Cable glands, strain reliefs, and cord grips are three of the most important types of electrical components in industrial electrical systems. Cable glands are used to secure and protect a cable or electrical connection by providing strain relief and electrical insulation. Cable glands are commonly used in industrial control panels, instrumentation, and in automated machinery applications. Strain reliefs are used to relieve tension at connections by providing strain relief to cables where mechanical forces can be applied. Strain reliefs also provide shock protection at cable or conduit connections in hazardous environments. Cord grips provide a secure connection between a connector or cable and an object or a piece of equipment by preventing the attached wires from being pulled out due to a jerking motion or vibration. Cord grips are also used to protect against corrosion, vibration and pull out force. They are commonly used in the rail, automotive, marine, and aerospace industries.
