Wire Wrap Tools

Wire wrap tools are specialized tools used to create wire wraps and construct or repair wired connections. Common tools used by wire wrap professionals include a wire wrap gun, wire cutters, tweezers, crimpers and a wire stripper. Wire wrap guns are handheld devices that use a clockwise winding motion to insert wire around terminals or posts. Wire cutters are used to trim excess wire and cut it to the desired length. Tweezers are used to position, insert and remove wires from posts. Crimpers are used to fold wire down onto its terminal for improved connections. Lastly, a wire stripper is used to remove the insulation from the ends of wires and create a clean, even cut.
