Wire Stripping & Cutting Tools

Wire stripping and cutting tools are tools used to strip away the insulation from an electrical wire so that the bare electrical wire can be accessed. They also have blades to cut the wire if necessary. Generally these tools have adjustment settings that allows you to select the thickness of insulation that will be removed. When stripping electrical wires it is important to choose the correct tool for the job, as incorrect use may result in damage to the wire itself. Cutting tools are used to cut off old wires, or create room to work with new ones. They usually feature grips, measurements and a blade which helps to make clean cuts. Choosing the right cutting tool is important as using the wrong type of tool can lead to frayed, jagged wires.
