Heat Sinks - LED

A heat sink is a device designed to transfer the heat generated by an LED light away from it, preventing it from overheating and becoming damaged. Heat sinks are typically made from metal and often include fins or other structures that increase the surface area exposed to the air, increasing heat dissipation. The fins also dissipate heat more efficiently, as air has better thermal conductivity than surrounding materials. Heat sinks are also often integrated with a fan or blower, allowing for more efficient cooling. The size, shape, and type of the heat sink will vary depending on the LED and its requirements.
