CPU & Chip Coolers

A CPU cooler is an essential component of a computer system, designed to draw heat away from the processor and keep it within acceptable temperature levels. A chip cooler, also known as a heat sink, is a device that is used to disperse heat away from a processor. It is attached to the processor itself and works by drawing heat away from the processor and transferring it to a heat spreader, which then dissipates the heat into the surrounding air. Heat spreaders and heatsinks come in various shapes and sizes depending on the type and size of the processor they are designed to cool. Chip coolers can be active, meaning they use a fan to help dissipate the heat, or passive, meaning they rely solely on the heat spreader to cool the processor. Chip coolers are essential for any system, as inadequate cooling can lead to damage to the processor, motherboard and other components.
