SRAM

SRAM (Static Random Access Memory) is a type of computer memory used for storing data. It is a non-volatile memory that does not need power to retain its stored information. SRAM is faster than DRAM (dynamic random access memory) and is commonly used for cache memory in computers. It checks data faster than DRAM, which makes it more suitable for applications that require fast memory access. SRAM requires fewer transistors than DRAM, making it more cost-effective and a more suitable type of memory used in smaller computers and devices. SRAM also offers more reliable data retention than DRAM, as it does not require refreshing.
