Systems on a Chip - SoC

Systems on a Chip (SoC) are integrated circuits (ICs) that combine multiple components, such as processors, memory, communication interface, and I/O, onto a single chip. This can lead to lower power consumption and reduced cost as compared to having multiple chips. The components on an SoC are connected together using an on-chip interconnect fabric, which allows for data and instructions to be exchanged between different components on the chip. SoC designs are used in a wide variety of applications, such as cell phones, tablets, set top boxes, and digital televisions.
