Microprocessors - MPU

A microprocessor, or MPU (or simply processor or central processor) is a small and highly integrated single-chip circuit that contains the core circuitry necessary to process data. It is a type of microcontroller, which is a computer chip with memory and input/output (I/O) peripherals, allowing it to control various types of devices and systems. The main component of a microprocessor is the processor core, which is responsible for making decisions and executing instructions, as well as performing basic arithmetic and logic operations. Microprocessors are used in almost all types of modern electronic devices, including computer systems, cell phones, televisions, and even some household appliances. Microprocessors are also used in many embedded systems, ranging from simpler home automation systems to aerospace navigation systems.
