Clock Drivers & Distribution

Clock drivers and distribution are circuit design techniques used to generate an exact signal timing across an entire circuit. Clock drivers distribute the clock signal received from the system clock to downstream circuitry, amplifying the signal and providing control of skew and jitter. Clock drivers allow designers to adjust the drive strength of the signal, control delays, and optimize the clock to a particular logic family. Clock distribution allows signals to pass through decoupling elements to balance the load and reduces signal cross-talk. Clock distributions also provide a way to divide large clocks into multiple smaller clocks with skew, jitter and noise immunity.
