Transconductance Amplifiers
Transconductance amplifiers (also known as gm or gain-bandwidth product amplifiers) are specialized amplifiers used to convert an input voltage to an output current. They are widely used in a variety of applications including active filters, phase locked loops, data converters and power supplies. Transconductance amplifiers provide high input impedance and low output impedance, which is important for isolating signals and avoiding loading effects. Transconductance amplifiers also have very low distortion, good gain accuracy and wide bandwidth, making them suitable for high performance systems.
