Logarithmic Amplifiers

A logarithmic amplifier is an electronic device that is used to amplify a logarithmic signal, such as voltage or current, and then convert it into a linear signal. The output of the logarithmic amplifier is typically a linear signal representing the logarithm of the input signal, allowing for accurate amplification and attenuation of the signal over a wide range of input levels. Logarithmic amplifiers are commonly used in medical instrumentation, calibration, and telemetry applications, among many others. Logarithmic amplifiers are also known as log amps or logarithmic gain amplifiers.
