About Zener Diodes
Zener Diodes
Zener diodes are a type of diode that allows current to flow in the reverse direction when the voltage across the diode exceeds the reverse breakdown voltage. The breakdown voltage, also known as the Zener voltage, is the voltage at which the diode starts to conduct in the reverse direction. Zener diodes are designed specifically to provide a regulated voltage across their terminals. They are commonly used in voltage regulation circuits and in power supply circuits.
