Plug-In AC Adapters

Plug-in AC adapters, also known as power adapters or AC/DC adapters, are electrical devices that convert alternating current (AC) electricity from an outlet into direct current (DC) power for an electronic device. AC adapters are commonly used to power laptops, phones, tablets, and many other devices. The main purpose of an AC adapter is to provide clean and safe power to the device it is connected to and to protect it from power surges and other potential problems. Most AC adapters are wall-mounted, although some are designed to be used with batteries or solar panels. Generally, the output voltage, current, and plug connectors are customized to meet the specifications of the associated hardware.
