Wirewound Resistors - Chassis Mount

Wirewound Resistors - Chassis Mount are resistors that are typically mounted onto an electrical chassis or printed circuit board. They are made of a metal-coil wound around an insulating material, the whole of which is then sealed in metal casing. The metal casing helps protect the resistance coil from environmental effects, like dust and moisture, while the insulating material ensures good electrical insulation and prevents shorting. Some wirewound resistors can be mounted onto a chassis using special mounting hardware, or they may also come pre-mounted or with a mounting bracket. These resistors are available in a variety of mounting options and are designed for a wide range of uses, from precision laboratory instruments to commercial applications.
