Metal Foil Resistors - SMD

Metal Foil resistors (MFRs) are surface-mount resistors that are made from a substrate of metal foil embedded with a resistive material. They provide excellent temperature stability and can be used for higher precision applications due to their low parasitic elements. Compared to standard surface-mount resistors, MFRs have improved power dissipation, comparable noise levels, and a thick-film structure which reduces noise and increases voltage handling capability. They are great for high-temperature and temperature-cycling applications due to their low temperature coefficients of resistance (TCR). MFRs also offer improved stability between 2.2O and 22MO, making them an attractive choice for power-supply applications.
