About Film Resistors

Film Resistors

Film resistors are resistors that are made from a film of resistive material such as carbon, metal oxide, or some form of plastic. This resistive material is usually deposited onto a ceramic substrate and then cut into various shapes, allowing them to be manufactured into a variety of different sizes and shapes. These resistors are used for their excellent stability and accuracy, which allows them to be used in a wide range of electrical and electronic devices. They also offer a high level of tolerance (low dissipation) and they are a low-cost option compared to other types of resistors.
