Current Sense Resistors - Through Hole

Current Sense Resistors are resistors designed for monitoring the amount of current in an electrical circuit. They are used to measure current in high current applications, and are ideal for current sensing and voltage drop applications. Through hole current sense resistors are soldered into a hole in the printed circuit board, creating a low resistance path between two terminals. They are typically used to measure current in AC/DC circuits, and in some cases are used to protect the circuit against high current events. Through hole current sense resistors come in a variety packages, including through hole and surface mount types. They are available in a wide range of ohmic values, typically ranging from 0.001 ohms up to 5 ohms.
