Ceramic Composition Resistors

Ceramic composition resistors are a type of fixed value electrical resistor that is made with a combination of ceramic and metal oxide material. The composition of a ceramic composition resistor is designed to minimize the effect of temperature on the resistor's electrical resistance. The ceramic composition creates a strong bond that allows for the resistor to be used in applications where a wide temperature range is necessary or even highly abusive environments. Ceramic composition resistors generally have a higher power rating than comparable metal oxide film resistors, making them well-suited for power-intensive applications. Ceramic composition resistors also typically offer better heat tolerance and higher reliability.
