Power Inductors - SMD

The package size is denoted by a standardized code, such as 0603, 0805, or 1210, indicating the dimensions of the component in terms of length and width. When selecting SMD power inductors, key parameters to consider include inductance value, rated current, DC resistance, and saturation current. DC resistance is the resistance of the inductor's winding, impacting power loss and efficiency. Saturation current represents the maximum current at which the inductor's inductance begins to significantly decrease.
