SMD (Surface Mount Device) power inductors are electronic components used in surface mount technology to store and release energy in the form of magnetic fields. When selecting SMD power inductors, key parameters to consider include inductance value, rated current, DC resistance, and saturation current. DC resistance is the resistance of the inductor's winding, impacting power loss and efficiency. Saturation current represents the maximum current at which the inductor's inductance begins to significantly decrease.
