Ceramic capacitors are a type of capacitor composed of two or more ceramic material plates that are separated by a dielectric material. They have a wide range of applications, from small low-voltage handling capacitors up to high-voltage and high-power handling capacitors. Ceramic capacitors are a type of non-polarized capacitor, meaning they can be used in both AC and DC circuits without any effect on their performance. Ceramic capacitors are typically used for a variety of circuit applications, such as power supply decoupling, snubber circuits, motor start up, bypassing, timing and frequency control, wave shaping, and more.
