Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are capacitors that use aluminium foil as one of the two plates and use electrolyte as the other plate. They are the most common type of capacitor and are used in a variety of applications, ranging from small signal circuits to power supply conversion circuits. Aluminium electrolytic capacitors have a higher capacity than other types of capacitors, and are normally more expensive. The main advantages of aluminium electrolytic capacitors are their low cost, large capacity and extremely high frequency performance. They are also very reliable and have a long lifetime, making them suitable for high-temperature environments.
