Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors - SMD

Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors SMD (Surface Mount Device) are capacitors which feature use of solid electrolyte and they are built in two parts which are a metal anode, usually made from aluminium foil, and an electrolyte-soaked paper-like cathode. These capacitors are typically used to store energy, filter signals, and smooth out power transients. They are able to offer relatively large capacitances per unit volume and are able to withstand high ripple currents. The small size of SMD capacitors makes them ideal for use in electronic devices such as smartphones, game consoles and laptops. The lifetime of SMD Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors depends on the quality of the materials and manufacturing processes. However, the lifetime of these capacitors can still be greatly impacted by their environment, including temperature, and voltage applied. Properly cared for, SMD electrolytic capacitors can offer a satisfying lifetime.
