Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors - Screw Terminal

Aluminium electrolytic capacitors with screw terminal feature a box-style construction where the terminals are connected to a board containing the capacitor with a screw. This type of construction has several advantages over other construction styles. The terminals are more robust as they are connected with a screw, allowing for higher current ratings. The terminals also provide increased isolation from electrical interference as well as increased mechanical stability. This type of construction allows for easy mounting on printed circuit boards (PCB) in applications such as power converters and regulators. Furthermore, the terminal can provide polarizing capability. In larger values of capacitance, aluminium electrolytic capacitors with screw terminal also offer increased power handling capability.
