Optically Isolated Amplifiers

Optically isolated amplifiers are amplifiers with an on-chip optical isolation barrier that blocks the flow of electric current and noise in both directions, allowing them to provide a powerful, reliable signal. The optical isolation makes them ideal for amplifying signals in industrial and medical environments where noisy interference and current may exist, such as when transferring a signal between electrically noisy environments. The optical isolation also provides electrical safety, enabling applications with high safety requirements, such as MRI and Proton therapy. Additionally, optically isolated amplifiers are often used in harsh industrial environments such as in oil rigs or other environments with high levels of industrial noise and vibration. Optically isolated amplifiers provide high bandwidth and low distortion to ensure maximum signal fidelity and performance over a wide range of applications.
