Lamps are a type of electronic component that convert electrical energy into light. They consist of a glass or plastic enclosure, a filament, and a base with electrical connections. However, they tend to be less energy-efficient and have a shorter lifespan compared to other types of lamps.Fluorescent lamps use a gas discharge process to produce light. Inside the tube, an electric current flows through mercury vapor, producing ultraviolet light that is then converted into visible light by the fluorescent coating on the tube.LED lamps use a semiconductor material to produce light when an electric current passes through it.
