Infrared Receivers

Infrared receivers are devices that detect and receive infrared radiation from remote control devices, such as television and cable remote controls. They are designed to receive infrared signals and convert them into electrical signals that can be used by a variety of devices, such as television sets and computers. The most commonly used type of infrared receiver is a photo-sensor. A photo-sensor contains a photo-sensitive material that detects the infrared radiation from a remote control. When the infrared radiation reaches the photo-sensor, it is converted into an electrical signal. This signal is then sent to a receiver, which processes the signal and sends the appropriate response to the remote control device.
