Fibre Optic Switches

Fibre optic switches are network devices that provide a way to move network traffic from one optical fibre to another. These switches have a number of advantages over traditional copper switches, such as greater throughput, lower signal loss, and increased scalability. Fibre optic switches also offer improved security, as they are more difficult to tap into than copper networks. Fibre optic switches use two types of core technology: active optical networking and passive optical networking.
