Switches

Switches are electronic components designed to control the flow of electricity in a circuit. They are usually used to turn a device on or off, or to redirect or regulate the electrical current. A switch consists of several movable contacts that can be connected or disconnected to stationary contacts by manual or automatic means. When the switch is turned on, the movable contacts make contact with the stationary contacts, allowing electricity to flow through the circuit. When the switch is turned off, the contacts are separated, breaking the flow of electricity and thus turning off the device.Switches come in various sizes and types, depending on their application. The most common types include toggle switches, push-button switches, rotary switches, and slide switches. They can also be categorized based on their functionality, such as single-pole single-throw (SPST), single-pole double-throw (SPDT), and double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switches.In modern electronics, switches are crucial components that enable us to control and manipulate the flow of electricity in our devices.
