Motors & Drives are two components that are often used together in various systems. Motors are mechanical devices that convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and are used to power machinery and equipment. A drive is an electronic device that increases or decreases the amount of energy produced by a motor. The drive is able to control the speed, direction and torque of the motor by using a variety of control systems. This enables motors to be used in virtually any application where power is required. Common applications for motors and drives include conveyor systems, pumps, fans, and machine tools.
