About FFC / FPC

FFC / FPC

FFC stands for Flat Flexible Cable, and FPC stands for Flexible Printed Circuit. These two technologies are used to make thin, light-weight electrical circuits. FFC is a ribbon cable composed of two wires with a thin film between them. This film can be flexible where the cable needs to bend or conform to a curvature. FPC is similar to FFC in that it is flexible and thin, but consists of multiple conductor layers with a non-conductive substrate. This allows for the creation of more complex circuits packed into a smaller space. FFC and FPC are used in various applications, ranging from camera sensors to laptop keyboards.
