FFC & FPC Connectors

FFC (Flexible Flat Cable) and FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) connectors are a type of connector used to connect two circuit boards or other electronic components. They are commonly used in cell phone, laptop, and game console devices. Flexible Flat Cables (FFC) are thin, flexible cables with multiple small metal contacts that allow users to quickly connect and disconnect the devices. Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC) are circuits with flexible plastic substrate and etched metal conductive lines. They are more durable than FFCs and ideal for use in complex devices and high-vibration environments. FFC/FPC connectors are available in various sizes and shapes, including single and double row designs, with different contact counts. Additionally, the same connectors may come in different mounting options, such as surface mount and through-hole, or in different mating styles, such as ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) and lockable. They may also be provided with flexible strain reliefs or connector covers for extra protection.
