D-Sub Backshells

D-Sub backshells are a kind of mechanical connector commonly used with D-sub connectors. They provide an easy way to secure the electrical connections and protect against dust, moisture, and physical damage. The backshell is typically made of metal and includes strain relief clamps, insulation barriers, and dust caps. The strain relief clamps keep the connector secure and limit mechanical stress on the cable. The insulation barriers ensure the connections will not be shorted by the metal of the backshell.
