Circuit Protection

Circuit protection is a set of practices and components used to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by a short circuit, an overload, or excess voltage. This includes a variety of techniques such as the use of fuses, circuit breakers, and surge protectors. Circuit protection can also be used to prevent fires or other dangerous situations by cutting off the power when a fault is detected.
