Resettable Fuses - PPTC

Resettable fuses, also known as PPTC (Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient) resettable fuses, are electronic components that use special polymeric materials that change resistance when heated. When current increases, the fuse will “trip” and open, causing a drop in current flow. Unlike traditional fuses, resettable fuses can be reset with a manual reset button or an automated circuit. Once the current and temperature return to normal levels, the fuse will reset itself and allow current to flow again. This process prevents dangerous situations, like overloaded circuits, that could result in fire or injury. Additionally, resettable fuses are more reliable than traditional fuses because they can withstand multiple trips and reset themselves automatically.
