Fuse Holders

Fuse holders are small pieces of hardware that are used to contain, protect, and hold a fuse or circuit breaker in an electrical wiring installation. A fuse holder consists of a plastic or metal base, a contact plate, and a fuse. The contact plate and the fuse can slide into or twist into the base. In most fuse holders, the base contains a receptacle to secure the contact plate, then the fuse slides in after. Once the fuse is in place, a cover is put on to protect it from damage. The cover may also come with a finger grip to make it easier to remove from the holder. The holders come in different sizes and configurations, depending on the size of the fuse and the type of application.
