Car adapters are electronic devices, usually powered by a car's battery, that allow you to plug in and use electronic devices, such as cell phones, laptops and other portable devices, while you drive. They can be used while the car is running or while the car is stopped, although some car adapters are designed to be used mainly while the car is stopped. These adapters are generally made of some type of plastic and come with cables, charge ports and power adapters.
