Leviton was founded by Isidor Leviton in 1906. Isidor Leviton opened up a small tinsmithing business producing mantle tips used for gas lighting after immigrating from to the United States. They started production to manufacturer one electrical product -- the pull-chain lamp holder soon after the introduction of Edison’s light bulb. From that one electrical device, Leviton has been churning out groundbreaking products that improve electrical safety, enhance communication, provide efficiency and cost savings and add convenience and value to our world. Leviton serves many industries like commericial buildings, data centers, education and entertainment and many others.
